Description
The Offshore App allows you to seamlessly download multiple GRIB files for your coastal and offshore passages.
Quickly download and view GRIB files, weather routes, GMDSS maps and text forecasts, AIS data and satellite imagery.
Access all the world’s top ranking forecast models for reliable and accurate weather data, including ECMWF, SPIRE, UKMO, GFS and more. Our very own PWG & PWE models offer incredible accuracy and a record-breaking 1km resolution.
In addition to forecasts, the Offshore App also provides a suite of powerful marine tools to save you time and keep you safe at sea.
Weather Routing and Departure Planning is calculated in the PredictWind cloud at the highest resolution. The finished route is then sent back to your boat in an incredibly small file size which is ideal for low bandwidth satellite and SSB connections.
The Offshore App works with Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and most satellite connections using an Iridium GO!, Globalstar or Optimizer device.

Good system.
I really like the interface and the ability to see the results of the various algorithms so you can average the results for yourself. I would really like it to be able to download information through Garmin InReach like it does through Iridium Go. The next logical step is for total integration with Garmin ( or other similar) MFDs so the PredictWind app sits on the MFD.
Great App with strong developer support
I have been very impressed with this easy to use app that consistently delivers reliable weather predictions in easy to understand format. The developers of the app clearly take a lot of pride in what they do, and their responses to queries have been quick and clear. Without exception the developers have gone that extra mile to make this the very useful app that now forms a corner stone to my cruising.
Iridium go
We can make it work on web but when we go to iridium go it says we have to buy subscription. My understanding it is free?
