Quakefeed is good but it could be great

Quakefeed is a really good app to get notification about earthquakes. However it could be made great by adding some features as changes, which could help with management and preparation of earthquakes. The features include: adding a more information to the map about tsunamis even possibly having a separate information tab to keep you updated on the active of the tsunami. Having a more simplistic layout (earthquake feed first man tab, map with both tsunamis and quakes. And the third separated for tsunamis. And setting on the last tab) Also possible the most important is adding volcanoes to the map.

Adverts intrusive. Opens browser when trying to open results

You can't use the app without giving permission to indefinitely send your location. Privacy issues. No ability to set your location without giving permission. Ads intrusive & add to privacy concerns when combined with location issue above. Not worth paying the ANNUAL FEE for getting rid of ads.

Developer Response

Hi, You can set the location permissions to "When in Use" or "Off". This can be done either in the iOS Settings app or from the Settings view in QuakeFeed. Also, you can turn on "Limit Ad Tracking" in the iOS Settings app. If you do so, then QuakeFeed will not serve interest based ads. Cheers.

Shake and lets go

This is great to have this graphic technology at one's fingertips. Has anyone worked out the predictions of earthquakes yet.? Looks like there is a lot of activity in Indonesia and the Pacific. Thank you. from AH.
