Rave - Watch Party 17+

So first off, this app is great for watching things with your friends, obviously, and the video and sound quality is great. For my iPad at least. I have a few suggestions for some apps to add though, if that is possible. Like crunchyroll, animelab or funimation! Because their websites don’t always work with Rave and it’s stressful if I wanted to watch something on there with my friends. If that’s not possible though, it’s okay! This is still a great app and I’ll definitely use it more, and I definitely recommend it.

I’m not one to ever write a review but with this app I will. Let me start by saying it’s an amazing app and more people should hop on it !! It’s great fun and you meet a lot of new people - 10/10.

But... the downside to this app is our location being visible for everyone in the Rave that you join. It’s really annoying and very frustrating. What triggers me the most about my location being shared is the fact that I CANNOT REMOVE IT !! Everyone knows where I reside and the area I live in and for me personally it’s very dangerous and makes me uncomfortable. I’ve left suggestions to help better the app but I thought I’d be more vocal about this issue. I have tried all sorts of methods to remove my location, I’ve disabled all my location setting in my phone settings. Removed it in my google account and when the pop up appeared for privacy location, I selected that I didn’t want my location seen. BUT WHAT DOES RAVE DO ? IT SHARES IT ANYWAYS AND FOR ME THAT IS A FLOP !!!

Please do something about this issue because although we want to enjoy your app, you are giving away our location without our consent.

The location that appears on the rave map is just based on your IP address, so it's only specific to the country, maybe the region-level. We do not show your precise GPS location to others, but rather estimate your location based on your IP address. Whether your grant location permission or not, we never show his exact location to other users, because we consider that a safety risk. The location displayed on this map is an estimation based on IP, which is accurate to the country, perhaps city level, but nothing more than that. You would not be able to locate an individual from it. The location on the map isn’t your actual location, it’s our estimate based on your IP. Change your IP with a VPN, and that will change your location. We promise you that random people cannot see your EXACT location. We are going to add the feature very soon whereby you'll have the option to toggle this on or off, and also even change your location. We're sorry in the meantime, and we hope you can still feel safe and secure while using Rave. Thanks again for writing a review for us!

Got the app a few days ago now that I’m in iso and I love being able to watch Netflix with my friends!
The only downside now is that when I sign into Disney plus I can’t put my pin in to continue. The new Disney plus feature allows MA movies and shows to stream but a pin is needed to allow the account to watch that. So maybe if that was fixed that’d be amazing!!!
