Recipes 4+

After collecting recipes for more then a year, one day all my recipes were done. No idea why my data vanished, certainly not my mistake. Although it is possible to back-up your data, could not figure out how to restore the data. Keep getting the message that I shoudl quick the program, reopen, backup and restore. For this reason I do not recommend the app.

I wanted some way of cutting down on the amount of recipes I was downloading, printing, putting in slip-covers and then folders. Having stuff organised that way made it hard to organise, hard to find, and hardly useful as a collection. This app does most of that stuff instinctively, right from downloading from the web (or entering manually) the data, each as a seperate element, to displaying it in a consistent and searchable way. When, like me, you discover some of the properties also available by right-clicking (as opposed to the obvious buttons) it becomes a lot more useful. Sharing on social media is made really easy. And isn’t that what recipes are all about : Collecting and sharing.

Not a bad app. Does what is stated. I would have increased the star rating if
a. There had been a field allowing user comments in the recipe
b. An area where multimedia coould be downloaded from the internet (There are quite a few videos on offer)
c. A Methon for syncing the recipes from one computer to another.
