It will also encourage you along the way to help you finish each run.

You can check your progress during the run with one glance to see current distance, heart rate, pace/speed + time left until the end of current pace unit.

You have a choice of light and dark theme, perfect for use at day or at night. You don't have to choose that beforehand - if you have automatic brightness enabled (which is default on iOS), app will automatically switch to dark theme when brightness is below 25%.

With our Today widget, you can check the run progress even when your phone is locked.

Always challenge your self to beat the previous best pace. Review the entire run history at any time.

Share your speed (pace) and distance anywhere and/or export full GPX track then upload it your chosen running community

Use any other Music/Podcast app and play whatever you want, Run 5k will work great with it

When the voice guidance is played, music fades out and afterwards returns to original volume.

This app uses GPS tracking to measure speed and distance. While the run is in progress, it will continue to measure even with the app in background; for ex: if someone calls you during the workout.
Prolonged use of GPS can significantly impact battery life. Since some of the run sessions can go for 30-40 minutes, make sure you have good battery charge when you go out.

Not great

The very first time I used it it felt like I had run way more than 8 intervals but I decided that it must have been down to me being unfit. I used the app for the second time yesterday and after 7/8 rotations it told me I was half way there and to keep going.

Also, I found that the app stopped counting down when I put my phone in my pocket so each interval took much longer than it should have. When I unlocked my phone to check the time left it said I had one second left and then changed to the next item. This happened for 5/8 intervals. When I realised what was happening I kept my phone unlocked and ran with it in my hand which wasn't ideal but it stopped the previous issues.

Great app

Absolutely love this little app. I’m on my 6th week now and just did my first 25min run. In the past I’ve tried to get to this point multiple times with other apps and podcasts but never could quite reach it. This app for the first time helped me get my fitness up to a point that I’m able to run 25min straight without any breaks and I’m confident I’ll be able to reach the 30min mark in 2 weeks.

I hope the developer comes up with an addon that helps to push past the 5k mark.

Great way to get started running

I'm a pretty lazy runner! I've struggled for years to motivate myself, and part of the reason is that I've never known how hard to push myself. This app gives a nice gentle introduction that gets harder over time. The progress charts are a nice motivator, but there aren't so many bells and whistles that it distracts from the core functionality of the app.
