Training plans cut off
I really like this app, and it generally works really well, but for the last couple months I have consistently been having an issue where my training plan will tell me ‘this is a partial week plan, full schedule will begin on Sunday’. Originally it would do this if my plan has three workouts and it gets to the point in the week where I haven’t done one yet and there’s not enough days to do three, but now it will do this randomly out of nowhere. Today is Sunday, I received my new workouts for the week a couple hours ago (there were three), and I just went to look at them again and now it says it’s a partial plan and there’s only two. I have had to restart my training plan about ten times in the last three months because it kept taking my workouts away. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling but nothing has fixed it. I don’t want to move away from this app because I like it and I’ve paid for Runkeeper go, but at this point it’s ridiculous and I’m starting to consider it.
Bugs, bugs & more bugs....
I’ve had enough of this app & it’s empty promises. The application sync between use of your Apple Watch & iPhone apps is a waste of time. Midway through a workout (run, bike ride, walk...) the iPhone app shuts down & Apple Watch App continues - well sort of. It crashes, doesn’t record calories, since the iPhone app crashes your GPS distance stops....Then trying to save your workout from Watch to iPhone? HA Good luck! More miss than hit as it rarely works. You end up having to manually enter the data on the website. You might as well use a pencil & pad to record your workouts as that’s what you’re basically doing anyway as the recording, syncing & saving functions are at best hap-hazard. I’ve persisted with RK for about 6 years & the same headaches never go away despite the continued assurances that they’re fixing things. Don’t waste your money on RK GO as all you’re doing is paying for a higher level of disappointment, frustration & application failures.
Overall, good app
This is my favourite app for tracking all my workouts.. however there are some flaws that desperately need an update.
1. When you save a workout under a certain time, and then go back to edit the note, the time has changed by half an hour - which is frustrating if you are trying to link data with other workout devices or apps. Sometimes notes calories will even change at the same time too.
2. Some workouts will come up as an exclamation mark (error) but not explain the error or how to fix it - if you click into the workout, everything appears to be clear and working until you exit onto the workout list page.
3. Even if you link devices that have an inbuilt heart rate monitor, such as Fitbit HR, you still have to manually enter your heart rate as it can not automatically sync this with your workout.
Sadly these have been issues for a long time now and they need fixing! Would’ve sent this in direct feedback to Runkeeper but couldn’t find how through the app!
Again, love this app and definitely recommend if you are considering it.. but wish they’d do a big update!
