i have used sleep cycle every night for over a year and it's one of my fave iPhone apps. the smart wake up phase is essential - no more groggy mornings! it's cool to have so much data on my sleeping habits over the course of the week, especially now that the weather is taken into account. turns out I always oversleep when it's raining: I love that it syncs to Health and out to my other fitness apps too, though i wish it knew the difference between sleep cycle recording with no sleep activity and actual sleep, since a night where it takes me a few hours past my bedtime to go to sleep still might track as a full night in other apps. also sometimes the auto switch from am to pm or vice versa when scrolling for an alarm time does happen, and sometimes it doesn't. this has lead to a couple of occasions where I've sleepily decided to give myself an extra hour or two of sleep on a weekend and accidentally set the alarm for 9pm! I'd love a 24:00 clock option for that reason. other than those minor issues this is a perfect, incredibly useful and functional app with a lovely style, and I've never had a single bug.
Really good, but a few requests
I love that you can lock the phone - such a simple thing but one that propels it head and above its competitors. Having been late to work because other alarms were cancelled overnight, it's a blessing.
I wish there was an easy way to tell the app to ignore a data entry, either because of a nap or an interruption. Or alternatively, a way to merge two periods - perhaps even intelligently suggesting if two subsequent periods were on the same day. Love that you can now change the alarm without cancelling.
I am also curious about the idea of "second sleep". Historically, humans didn't sleep all the way through in a nice 8 hour block. They went to bed, then rose again at midnight. In this in between time artists created their works and partners made love. I wonder if you could design a "second sleep" option so those of us who are interested could request the app to wake us once in the middle of the night for an hour or so, and then again in the morning? I hear it is a more restive form of sleeping patten.

Excellent alarm and sleep monitoring tool
I've used this app for over a year now. As mentioned in other reviews the alarm really does wake you at the best time possible. I like to get up early to go to the gym most mornings while my husband sleeps until it's time to get up for work. While it is loud enough to wake me, it is quiet enough that it does not wake my husband. I have found the sleep analysis it provides to be very useful and have learned quite a bit about what I can do that will contribute to my having the best night's sleep possible.
