Tasty Town - The Cooking Game 4+

Still playing and loving the game. Have been playing from it’s first year. The game has undergone many changes which caused some hassles in the beginning but patience has been rewarded. The events are great. If you play regularly 2 or 3 times a day you can usually win the major prize. There are 2 mini games to play while you wait for quick making items to finish. The game is generous in awarding many chances for free gems. My only complaint is not enough expansions are available. I have a lot of really good decorations I would like to have on show but have no room. There seems no end to the creativity of the developers in providing new chefs regularly. I love this game and I think you will too!

All in all it is a good game however, the cost to play is too high especially for children. It takes effort to collect or earn the coins as it is and although using them to buy things is expected the cost of some things is ridiculous. Example an extra cow pasture comes with 3 cows and slots to add 3 more...1st costs 8K, 2nd 10K and 3rd one costs 15K. I’m an adult and play because my nephews need help with their restaurants and if it takes me a long time to collect coins, it takes them even longer so it frustrates them as they cannot progress. They save up their collected coins and get left with none after just one purchase...not fair. The other down fall is that the items ordered by customers at tables (quantities) are too high, I’ve had some ask for 12 of something and when storage is limited, it makes it too hard and I think will put me off sooner rather than later. Finally...to have to use coins to grow ingredients is not fair, other games like Hay Day lets you grow crops for free. Ingredients are necessary for the game, at least make them free and make it easier for the kiddies (and us aunties that have to put up with the complaining and tears lol)!

It has been a good game for the most part, some aspects are frustrating. There is never enough storage and you end up with about 60% or more of the space filled with upgrade items wasting space. There’s always one of the three things needed that’s in short supply but in my car I was at 30 to 1 ratio and have had to get rid of them. It’s a waste and annoying. The social market is useless now too as there’s only a few spots available and they’re always filled with items from levels lower that I wouldn’t need but the cost to hire the lady to help source things to buy is extremely high. It’s not worth it so the store is out too. I still enjoy it but it’s not what it could be especially when gems I’m supposed to be awarded don’t always get added. A temp glitch I guess. There also needs to be a confirm spend gems on the small finish tasks as I’ve spent a bunch just by dropping the phone. That’s rough!!! Today I opened the game to play and it wouldn’t allow play without an update. I updated and now am in the never ending cycle where it doesn’t recognise the update. So I guess no more play until it’s fixed. Sigh. Off to a new game I guess.
