Ratings and Reviews
This application is really good. The software shows line number, and some of the short keys that I was using in Excel are exactly the same.
For example command+shift+down arrow select the rest of your document. The file I opened in excel was losing the time stamp on each line but in the textwrangler remained unchanged.
Thanks for creating such a wonderful text editor.
Useful for Web Design…but...
Been using it for a few weeks and am impressed, especially as it is free.
My usual editor is Smultron 4, and am likely to use it and TextWrangler together. This software has everything one could desire, but has no markup tools or a live preview.
Smultron 4 does have a live preview, but cannot handle very well many multiple documents for editing. TextWrangler does multiple documents brilliantly. I had considered buying BBEdit, by its cost seems far too high for what I need to do.
I'd give this software four stars only because it does not have a Previewer. (BareBones Software ought to consider this in future updates.)
Awesome product. Been using it ever since I discovered it. Only problem I have is that it sometimes crashes, but so do a few other apps since the upgrade to Lion, so it's possibly my own system. Either way, it's boosted my productivity incredibly on the Mac and i'm only just scraping the surface of what it can do!
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
