Ratings and Reviews
Age App a disgrace.
Have been reading the Age newspaper for long years. Started with old large sized paper and liked the smaller paper version. When the app was introduced, I downloaded and read on my iPad almost immediately. Loved the app and flexibility of reading anywhere and that this platform helped save a few trees as well.
Recent updates have resulted in the app becoming almost useless. Paper takes longer to open and almost every article I open to read, causes a shut down. Reading the once enjoyable paper no longer exists.
When will you put this right! Like all I pay for this service but my long love the Age is waning rapidly. I'm seriously considering a rival paper, after long years. Heck even my husbands foreign based paper works seamlessly. This situation is a disgrace.
We’re long time Age readers and have the iPad app through our subscription. On the whole I’m very disappointed with the app and unlikely to renew our subscription. Here are some of the things I don’t like; I frequently have to turn my iPad off for the newspaper to be updated as the “download” option appears to have a mind of its own (my iPad is about 1-year old). The lack of the AFL ladder or proper fixtures list sends my frustration into overdrive, ditto for the horse racing form guide. Sadly I have to retreat to the local coffee shop that stocks The Herald Sun to get my sporting fix but at least I get a good cup of coffee!
No Family Sharing..
The Age app worked beautifully at first with Apple family sharing, but we have not been able to use family sharing for at least a couple of years now despite trying absolutely everything. have contacted The Age and Apple but no joy. $42 per month for two separate subscriptions is far too much to pay when the App is advertised as compatible with family sharing. please help!!
