Useful

I like this app because it helps me track my productivity, which is a good incentive for me to check off the things I need to do in my list. The design of the to-do’s is pretty systematic too and helps me stay organised. Some of the shortcuts are really helpful for efficiency. I also really like the ability to schedule the tasks immediately after typing the task name - it makes sure I’ve worked out a time frame. This app is quite helpful if you want to use SMART goal-type tasks (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timeframe). The layout is also very clean and intuitive, which you can tell if you can start using the app immediately after download and easily incorporate it into your life within the next few days.

A problem I’ve come across is that it’s not really suited for tasks that need to be done regularly - it doesn’t have a ‘repeat’ sort of customisation for the task so you’d have to repetitively type them in and schedule them for different dates.

I haven’t yet explored the ‘labels’ and ‘filters’ features and I’m not really used to the ‘Overdue/Reschedule’ features but it’s been a joy to use and especially since the most useful features are available for free (poor uni student).

Love this App, wouldn't know what i would do without it!

This thing really helps me stay on top of all of my daily tasks and future plans. love how you can compartmentalise everything and really make it super detailed. I'm sure it would be super useful in a team setting and i hope to be using it in that way soon.
The price is also really fair for what you're getting, i'm happy to pay it year after year as it is the #1 tool i use for keeping on top of my work and other avenues in life.
Only complaints and suggestions i would have for it is that it i would love to be able to get a visual stimulus for time blocking and some sort of in-built calendar where you can see your upcoming plans in a grid rather than list format.
Never the less, still over the moon i found this.

The best free to-do app out there

As a student, I have tried basically every single legitimate to-do app out there to try and get better time management, and Todoist stands out by far.

Todoist's simple layout lets me choose whether I want to see what I need to do today or for the upcoming week, which is great for making sure that I don't organise too many things to be done on one day. It also has a function that automatically recognises words such as 'daily', 'weekly', 'every Wednesday' and so on and will set recurring events for you.

It also lets you form lists for your projects, so if you have a big assignment coming up, you can make a list of all the small things you need to do, and schedule them so that you don't get too overwhelmed towards the end.

However, you do have to pay for reminders/push notifications. Every morning, I receive an email telling me how many things I have to do, but if I wanted a push notification for a specific task at a particular time/location, I would have to pay. I wouldn't mind, but they only allow annual subscriptions, which is a bigger commitment than I would like.

I also wish they had a whole calendar feature, so that you could plan things for the next month or so.

Overall, I still think it is much easier to use and also a lot better to look at than most (if not all) of the other to-do apps out there. Thank you so much for helping me get my studies together!
