TownCraft is a surreal crafting and city-building game with no in-app purchases ever!

You are alone in the wilderness back in medieval times, and must start a new town to be the celebration of all the kingdoms!

To the West lies King Oligarchy, a narcissist primarily absorbed by his own reflection. To the East: Queen Omnibus, busy 'taming' neighbouring kingdoms with the tip of her blade.

In between is you.

You begin by crafting the most basic of tools, tying a sharpened stone to a small piece of wood as a hatchet, but before long your town will be teeming and with travellers from all across the land. They'll buy your wares at the local shops, come to check out the sights, have some food and drink at your tavern, they'll come looking to trade with you, or work for you. Fish, farm, forage, hire, fire, and explore the bizarre and unique world of TownCraft.

Stuff you'll do in TownCraft:

* Play a new world every time – no two worlds will ever be the same thanks to procedurally generated maps!
* Test your skill at crafting, with hundreds of different objects to create.
* Build bridges, jetties, workshops and windmills as you create a fully functioning and self-sufficient town.
* Order around your muck-ridden peasants as they manage your gold mines, stone quarries, crop fields, lakes, shops and taverns.
* Play in a world with a real-time day and night cycle – watch as your workers wake up, go to work, hit the tavern to meet some passing travellers later at night and then get some shut-eye again.
* Explore each new world and unearth countless resources, from cotton to canary eggs, gold to grapes, wheat to wax and stone to silver.
* Follow an off-beat story as kingdoms vie for control.

* NO IN-GAME PURCHASES EVER! TownCraft is a full game with heaps to discover. You won't be bothered by prompts to share anything, buy anything, watch any ads or anything of the sort. We're not going to nickel and dime you. It annoys us to bits, so why would we do it to our fans?

Such a good game

The game is very confusing at first but once you figure out the basics it's a great game. First of all there are a lot of bugs in this game like when I go to use something in a house he goes around the outside of house to the wall that the thing is facing and can't access it because he is outside there is another bug when you accidentally drag something out of your inventory it stays floating in the air until you open a specific menu or exit the game another one is when there is a table on the inside of the tavern next to a wall and I put a table on the outside with three chairs and one of the chairs was next to the wall with a table on the other side and he sat facing the table and somehow drank his ale through the wall. The are lots more bugs that I forgot to say but can you please fix these as they are annoying. You could add so much more to this game like inns and restaurants smarter people customising your charector you could introduce different jobs such as guard and add some dangers like wild animals and thieves also you could add seasons so people had to stockpile there food before winter and try to make it through without running out because then there taverns could run out of ale and all that stuff. (I'm terrible at writing reviews.)

I really like this game. I didn't at first, but once I'd figured it out, it was great. It is challenging and fun with heaps of replay-ability.
There are a number of glitches that spoilt it. The worst of these were that your character freezes more and more often the further through a scenario you go. The other infuriating glitch is that everything disappears from your crafting table when the message comes up that something else is ready. This wouldn't be so bad if you merely had to put everything back in, but you actually have to take it all out first! This is cumbersome when your inventory is full and stressful in time challenge worlds. This game would get more stars if this were fixed :)
Having said that, i still really enjoyed it, replayed it a lot and am eagerly awaiting the next update with new worlds and hopefully new things to craft.

... 6 months later... I'm still waiting for updates... Will there be another?..or have the developers moved on/given up? This game is unique and satisfying, well worth revisiting to fix glitches and add more scenarios and recipes. Please 😀

I love this game and have been playing it obsessively for the last 2 days. There are a few bugs but nothing too annoying. I do have a few suggestions though.
Having to constantly restock the shop and tavern is a pain and leaves no time for exploration. Having a distillery where you hire a worker to make drinks and take it to the tavern would be great. You would stock it from the stockpile similar to the mill. The shop needs a bit of tweaking. Some items you can place in the shop but they wont ever sell. Maybe tweak the auto filter to only include items that will sell.
Love the game and looking forward to future updates :)
