A cake without the filling
Since starting my financial budgeting journey, I’ve been using this app for approximately a little over 7 months now. It feels like this app is like a cake without the filling. It’s really great at keeping track of what you spend, but it failed on 2 parts for me. Firstly, it’s hard to look back on past expenses; you have to manually scroll through your history list to find which transaction you’re looking for. And secondly, as my income varies from month to month, I couldn’t set my monthly limit without affecting my previous months budget which threw it all out. Aside from those deal breakers, minor stuff like the app freezing from time to time kind of annoyed me a bit. Overall, it’s a perfect way to keep tabs on all your transactions (card and money economy). But I think this app should be thought of as like an entree, in that it should be accompanied with another app that’s going to help analyse all the data for you.
Duplicating entries bug
Overall I love this app but I notice a bug that duplicates some expenses. And then it’s duplicated in my fortnight summary too. I can’t work out how to delete an entry either. I’ve found duplication initially occurring when I’d used a tag, but it’s not only happening then.
The app is easy to use and to increase the features you use. I started just tracking my spend before using that to guide some limits for me. Sadly the limits are static week on week which means you have to adjust them if that big annual bill is only in one week; but a minor issue
Slightly clunky but easy enough to figure out. Once you get started with the regular expenses it gets quicker to input the data.
For those struggling with deleting transactions... go into the history section and then tap the little ‘list’ icon in the top right. It will display your recent transactions as a list that you can then tap on the x to delete any item. You may need to search some transactions as they don’t seem to all display right off. You can also edit them all using the history section. Hope that helps.
