Ratings and Reviews
Very easy sit
A very comfortable & clean home to stay in with 4 adorable dogs. It sounds a lot but the dogs are very happy in their ‘pack’ and can easily be left while you go out exploring. They are very easy to take care of in every way and only require one feed a day. The owner Virginie (who speaks perfect English & French) is very accomodating and generous and kept in touch throughout the sit. The next door neighbours are incredibly kind and a great support should it be necessary. You couldn’t ask for an easier sit. My only recommendation would be that future sitters have a car as public transport is a bit limited.
Search filters
App is very aesthetic and easy to use but the search filters are not very useful for sitters, this is not a reflection on the service which is great. It only allows you filter exact dates, which aligns with few listings. Anytime you are looking for a sit you essentially have to scroll through every listing for the location to find dates that work. It would be more helpful if you could search for relative length of stays (weekends/longer stays), similar dates or sits by month. You also get a mix of active listings, those ‘reviewing applications’, and ‘not currently looking for a sit’ - you should be able to filter for just active listings with open dates. I would also like to see more locations in search, I often have to search for a whole city and the suburban area is not included in the listing. That is not close enough to find something that works. All of these search features make browsing in the app time-consuming and unenjoyable.
My first experience
My first experience using trusted house sitters has been excellent. The whole process was easy from start to finish. I had such peace of mind going away for over 3 weeks knowing that someone was looking after my pets, garden and house. The process was easy to follow and connect with prospective sitters. Well done trusted house sitters. A great service that I will happily use again.
