TweetDeck makes it easier for publishers, marketers and power users to track the real-time conversations they care about. It brings more flexibility and insight to power users through a customizable layout that lets you keep up with the people and topics that matter most to you. And, you can join the conversation by tweeting, sharing photos and links to news stories, and more.
What's New in Version 3.9.889
Enhancements and small bug fixes.
I had previous used another app for Twitter and it had a lot of issues with loading. Once I switched to TweetDeck it worked perfectly. It’s great to be able to have different columns for different features you want to view, such a timeline, notifications, mentions, messages and more. You can also have multiple accounts, so if you have more than one Twitter account, it’s easy to manage them!
The only feature I would like to see added, is being able to have a column with currently trending items, not just one specific trending item, and if you could select the country (or worldwide) that you want all trends to show from.
The defaults are maddening - messing with the settings improves it greatly.
How to make tweetdeck acceptable:
1 - Disable all of the columns except “Home”.
2 - Change the theme to dark in settings (if you prefer dark mode as I do)
3 - Set column width to “Narrow”.
This has become my main twitter client on my mac - it has a few features I like, notably auto-loading new tweets and the precious, precious dark mode. I can see why it infuriates some people though - if you don’t have twitter open all day and don’t care for dark mode, the regular twitter app is the best free app there is.
Been using this app for years. Very surprised at the ratings above. I can only assume people haven’t explored and utilised its enormous power in organising your twitterverse. ;-)
