Bring back traffic congestion colours
I know this has been requested numerous times before but can you PLEASE bring back the traffic congestion colours on the map! ie. red = heavy orange = medium green = light
Otherwise a great app. Use it everyday. Have been using it for years. I now rely on it but have to check in with other apps like google maps & Waze to check traffic congestion on a route when it starts getting heavy to find an alternate route around it.
why different to website map ? the congestion colours are invaluable !
More traffic information on fingertips, the better.
Definitely a welcome move by VicRoads to make the information available on their traffic website available on the small screen. A decent 1.0 release that allows you to quickly check travel times on the major roads/freeways in Melbourne. Travel times are pretty much displayed as they are on the advisory boards along freeways and are indicated in minutes as well as green, yellow or red.
The "My Routes" feature is quite smart and allows you to define custom sets of frequently used roads for particular trips. This is quite handy especially if you frequently have to drive across different parts of Melbourne, your preset routes will show you traffic info for only the relevant roads on that trip.
The ability to view the various traffic cameras is useful although it would be even better if a live motion stream can be provided (although bandwidth may be a constricting factor).
Alerts will help to keep the motorists informed about what is actually happening on the roads.
Overall, a good start, hope to see more features coming to the app. It's free so no complaints!
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
