Great Gamin Replacement
So I’ve been trying to downsize my electronics, and reduce the number of things I have to recharge. This app makes a great Garmin Edge replacement if you have a waterproof phone. I bought the Wahoo HR strap, speed and cadence sensors, which provide accurate readings on a clear display, and now I just use this app for most of my rides.
I turn my screen brightness down a bit, and use about 50% of the iPhone battery on a 2 hour ride, including Bluetooth music streaming.
Great App .... BUT!!
Have used this for years and it has been 100% fantastic. FIVE STARS PLUS. But with the latest update it DEMANDS that location services be turned on all the time, and not just while the app is running. This speaks of a real intrusion and privacy breach. So you either have to live with resetting your location settings every time you use it or accept the fact that they are tracking you full time. We have notified Apple as surely this must be against their rules. So it should really get a ONE STAR rating because of that.
Latest update has killed off all the detail on export to Strava
Been using his App with a Wahoo RFLKT+ for years and it has all worked well until now. I usually share my Ride data with Strava but after updating this week Strava is not being sent any of the GPS data - all it gets is a distance and time summary. Very disappointing.
10 March update: confirming other posts that problem with Strava export is now fixed so much happier with this app once more.
