From time to time, we all have to wait for something we want! Many learners who encounter situations during which they must wait have difficulty with this concept. Wait4It is a great visual tool if Phases I and II of PECS® have been mastered. The app is designed for use in any setting to help teach the concept of "wait" and encourage learners to wait successfully! Wait4It includes a bright, oval "wait" card, digital sand timer and space for you to input a visual representation of the item your learner is waiting for. This method provides the learner with a visual reminder to wait which will help him/her better tolerate the delay. To obtain information on available services, trainings and consultations or to view our great selection of valuable resources in its entirety, please visit www.pecs.com.

Custom images will not be restored and are permanently removed from the app once deleted.

Ratings and Reviews
As soon as you posted the Wait4it App on Facebook I downloaded, used it, loved it, then I sent a link out to all my autism colleagues, friends and clients. I love it. I also posted it on my 'iPad and Autism' specific website.
Yesterday, I got to use the Wait4it App with a client - a little 4 year old boy diagnosed with autism named Robin. Robin is one of those kids that is very 'on the go' and very curious about EVERYTHING. He constantly asks questions and wants to know how things work. Currently, he likes to know what your title is (e.g., Mr, Mrs, Miss etc), he has special interests in information about countries, numbers, time, dates, information about musicians and a lot more. The only problem is his questions are intense and constant and he often gets upset or very anxious when he doesn't get a response to his questions straight away. So yes, Robin is learning the concept of waiting for our attention to talk about his special interest! We introduced the Wait4it App yesterday, Robin helped take the picture of the item that he was waiting for (a picture of a clock that he wanted to talk about), I gave give him the choice of 4 or 5 minutes to Wait - he chose 5 minutes, I then asked if he wanted to sit and wait on the mini trampoline or the bean bag - he chose the bean bag, and I spent about 30 seconds with him showing him how the numbers were counting down! He loved watching the numbers scroll down! I went off and spoke to Robin's mum, uninterrupted for the next 4.5 minutes! It worked!
Thanks Pyramid Educational Consultants for putting this well though out, very autism friendly app together!
