Always sunny in Fuji-land ,

It used to be okay

Once upon a time I was able to connect to my camera’s wifi, open this app and either see what was on the cards, or remotely trigger the shutter. These were the good days; it was basic, and lacked some functionality I’d like to see (like adjusting shutter speed and iso on the fly), but it worked.

Now however, the app won’t register a connection at all despite my device saying the camera is connected. In fact it will only connect about 2% of the time, on a sunny day, if there are no birds in the sky, and no one says “Fuji” too loudly.

This needs work. This needs help.

Nikon will not listen ,

UseLess app

This app needs work. I bought the Nikon wifi adaptor in 2015 and it was useless back then as the app crashes and disconnects from the camera while downloading. Still 2 years later the same problems occur. You would think Nikon would invest some time into making this app more friendly and useable. I have hardly used the wifi adaptor as it's easier to connect camera to a computer to download photos. I have lost faith in the wifi device and this app. I wish I could get a refund on the wifi adaptor as it was $40 Australian. Such a waste of money if it is so unreliable. The success rate is pathetic. Nikon ha e good cameras but have no idea about creating apps to work with their devices. I have tried various smart devices and always have the same problems.. failures when using this app and the wifi device with Nikon d7100 have occurred in the last couple of years with the following devices : samsung s3, Samsung s5, iPad mini 2, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPhone se, iPhone 6s, Nexus 7 tablet. Nikon please fix the connectivity issues with this app and your wifi device. This is pathetic

Geotagging Not Accurate

I took a series of photos during hikes around Cradle Mountain in Tasmania but the app has 2 flaws... the first is that apparently I was in the middle of the ocean when I was hiking, and the second was that the app only lets me transfer images at a max of "recommended size". Where is the option to transfer at original size? It doesn't provide a replacement to transferring with a cable so is pretty useless without additional work. I was using a Coolpix AW130
