Wow of Great
A friend briefly showed me World of Goo on the Wii when it first came out and I have to say, I wasn't impressed. Having decided to give it a go one slow Saturday I was very pleasantly surprised. I would say that any fan of puzzle games is going to love World of Goo. The game has the look and feel of a Tim Burton film (one of the good ones). The scoring is very atmospheric and quite enjoyable. The overall experience of the game is just great. My only complaint would be that I'd have liked more levels! Well worth a download.
Good but 2 annoying flaws
Great game, enjoyable and inventive.
If you have a mighty mouse you will be constantly annoyed that you can't use it to scroll sideways.
And a warning: don't have any applications running when you start World of Goo, because it changes the size of all of them. This is very frustrating. After finishing World of Goo, I have a 5-minute clean up job on my hands because every single one of the app windows I was running have been shrunk in some unpredictable way - something to do with World of Goo going full-screen no doubt.
I've never been much of a gamer, in fact i've tried a number of games to occupy my time, never finding one that interests me. When I played this game, it was immediately addictive. Each level is very well designed and the music is just beautiful. A great game that is well worth to play.
