xConnect allows you to access various Hills security products remotely.

xConnect gives you the same features that are available when accessing your security system locally.
These include (depending on your authorisation level):
* Arming and disarming the system
* Checking the arm status
* Checking the history of events
* Configuring the system

The look and feel and features are the same as when connecting to the system's web pages locally via a LAN connection, but with the ability to do it anywhere with a connection to the internet.

xConnect supports multiple remote sites for customers with more than one system.
Each site must be initially setup with a name and description that is shown on the main site list, as well as some credential information.
Once setup, the main page of xConnect will show the list of sites.
For example, if you have systems at home and in the office, the main sites list will show two sites.
Accessing each site is then as simple as clicking on the site name.
xConnect will then automatically login to the system using the credentials that are saved for that site.

The required credentials are typically provided by your security company representative.

The connection to the security system is made via a remote communication server, avoiding the complication of setting up port forwarding.

Okay needs more features and some fixes.

As per other reviews, there should be an instant push notification to your phone via the app when the alarm is activated. Otherwise you don't know it's activated. Even though the system allows for 3 email addresses to be notified there seems to be a glitch where only the first email address entered gets the email. How can this be fixed?? And it would be good to be able to rename the zones so that when you get a notification you know whether the sensor in your lounge room or bedroom has activated. Also there seems to be a glitch where user names entered via comnav set up, seem to drop off the main keypad control in the house? I hope Hills fixes these problems!

update this app

With introduction of iOS 11 the app is no longer supported. We no longer can use this app! what can we do?

Previous review 1year ago:
First of all why no update? Hills are you reading the feedback? allot of feedback on the push notification being everyone's main concern, second the editing zone tab. Hills has created a similar app for the DIY version using push, sms and zone setup. If you expect alarm distributors to keep selling this product I would suggest updating this app. it's frustrating as a user having spent over $5k for a system that doesn't have enough support. especially if someone was to break in you would only find out if you read your email that is sent to your phone 15/20 min later.

Not great

As both a security installer and a personal user of this product I am pretty disappointed in this app. I purchased the Comnav when it first came out and an app was promised from the start but 2 years later never eventuated. I then had to buy a new Comnav to be able to use this app, which was somewhat frustrating since the board looks identical but has a different firmware.

As for this app, although the user interface is quite good, it lacks some features I would like, especially seeing offerings from other brands. I would like at least to be able to name the zones, and for it to support push notifications instead of relying on email alone.
