A dubstep duo from London who founded the label Keysound Recordings in 2005, Dusk + Blackdown made their debut with a series of 12" EPs before releasing their critically acclaimed full-length album debut in 2008. Comprised of Dusk (born Dan Frampton) and Blackdown (Martin Clark), the producer/DJ duo made its commercial recording debut in 2005 with Drenched/Submerge, a 12" EP self-released on the London-based label Keysound Recordings. Successive 12" EP releases by the duo on Keysound include Lata (2006), Mantis (2006), The Bits (2007), and Focus (2008). Dusk + Blackdown then released their full-length album debut, Margins Music (2008), which was critically acclaimed and highlighted on numerous Albums of the Year lists (e.g., The Wire). In addition to their production output, Dusk + Blackdown are also active dubstep DJs, performing mixes regularly on Rinse FM. ~ Jason Birchmeier
