Fabian

About Fabian

One of the leading lights among the teen idols of the late-1950s, Fabiano Bonaparte was ‘discovered’ by two talent scouts, Peter De Angelis and Bob Marucci, who shortened his name to Fabian and contracted him to their own label Chancellor Records. After a string of television performances plus a coast-to-coast tour, Fabian found himself climbing the U.S. charts with "I’m A Man." Subsequent hits included "Turn Me Loose" and "Hound Dog Man" and his recording career peaked with 1959’s million-selling "Tiger." While his music career flagged, he sustained a film career with creditable performances in films like 1960’s NORTH TO ALASKA, alongside John Wayne.
