About Glass Towers

Influenced by '80s post-punk, Sydney, Australia's Glass Towers are centered around frontman Benjamin Hannam. Formed in 2008 while the members were in high school in Alstonville, New South Wales, Glass Towers initially began as a solo project for Hannam. However, by 2009 he'd paired up with members of several other local bands and formed the nucleus of Glass Towers. A performance at the popular Splendour in the Grass festival helped boost the band's profile, as did getting play on Triple J radio's Unearthed program. In 2011 they released their debut EP, What We Were, Where We Were, featuring production from Wayne Connolly (Silverchair, Neil Finn), and in 2014 they released their debut full-length album, the Jean-Paul Fung-produced Halcyon Days. ~ Matt Collar
