About Justus Boyz
Part of a small-scale merchandising empire headed by the duo known only as Mike and Phil, Justus Boyz specialize in the sort of '80s-style dance-pop so often affiliated with the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, and Madonna. The two longtime partners are based in Royal Oak, MI -- a far-flung, upscale neighborhood of Detroit -- where they most notably head the Justus Clothing Company. Their musical act released its debut album, Uh Oh, in 2003 and enjoyed some moderate dance-club success with "Calling All the Boys." Justus Boyz opened shows for a number of popular acts, including Ashanti, 98°, and KC & the Sunshine Band. The Boyz released their album independently on their own label, Hulleon Records. ~ Jason Birchmeier
