About Kimmie Rhodes

Kimmie Rhodes is a respected American roots singer/songwriter based in Austin, Texas. In the late 1970s, she formed Kimmie Rhodes & The Jackalope Brothers with Bobby Earl Smith and her future husband, Joe Gracey, and has recorded with them and as a solo artist, with input from Americana luminaries like Joe Ely, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Townes Van Zandt. Her post-millennial recordings have also explored more ambient directions, while 2005’s WINDBLOWN was written for a performance art piece featuring live music and interpretive dance.
