About Knife Party

The heavy-hitting Australian bass duo Knife Party, composed of two members of the legendary drum ’n’ bass band Pendulum, carved their place in the EDM scene with a string of initial hits. • Knife Party’s name is a reference to the Deftones song “Knife Prty”, from the nu-metal band’s third album, White Pony. • The duo made their debut with “No Pendulum”, a remix of Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World”. • Their 2011 debut EP, 100% No Modern Talking, includes the festival hit “Internet Friends”, a hard-edged, synth-driven electro-bass tune that features robotic threats from a crazed stalker. • Also in 2011, Knife Party scored a Top 5 UK hit with “Antidote”, a collaboration with Swedish House Mafia. • “Centipede”, off their 2012 sophomore EP, Rage Valley, is a nod to the Pendulum classic “Tarantula”. The song opens with a sample from the Discovery Channel documentary Tarantulas and Their Venomous Relations. • In 2014, Knife Party released their debut album, Abandon Ship. It reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and cracked the Top 40 of the UK pop charts. • As of 2021, Knife Party had released five EPs and one studio album, as well as a handful of singles and remixes for the likes of Porter Robinson, Nero and Labrinth.
