About Krakota

Like a lot of British teenagers, Sebastian Inwood was drawn to the world of DJ'ing after falling under the spell of drum'n'bass. A fascination with the world of beat-matching and performing led him into the art of music production, and in 2006 he built his home studio and spent hours honing his craft. It wouldn't be until 2010 that Inwood's music made it into the hands of fellow drum'n'bass producer and owner of CIA Records, Total Science. A collaborative release with Judda, Inwood's first 12" as Krakota, Solid Shout, appeared in the July. The following year saw him branch out on his own and release the track "Be Myself" on Ingredients Records, while also delivering releases for Integral and Critical Modulations. In 2012, Krakota's partnership with the long-running drum'n'bass label Hospital Records started, with the track "Block Breaker" appearing on the Sick Music, Vol.3 compilation. At the beginning of 2014, he contributed to the Hospital collection We Are 18, with the tracks "Everything Changes" and "Spin the Bottle," and toward the end of the year delivered his first full 12", Xylo. 2015 saw the release of the Citadels EP as well as the single Ice Hands. Inwood's razor-sharp DJ sets were becoming more in demand, and he played at various club nights and festivals across Europe. Signed exclusively to Hospital Records in 2016, Inwood dropped the first full-length Krakota album, Strange System, in July 2016, which saw him collaborating with the likes of London Elektricity, Illaman, and Karina Ramage. ~ Rich Wilson
