A retro-edged, folky dream pop quartet out of Melbourne, Australia, Totally Mild is like a surf rock-colored, Mazzy Star iron-on-labeled beach tote full of sultriness carried by guitar tones and frontwoman Elizabeth Mitchell's airy, inviting soprano. Begun as a solo project by Mitchell, the band grew to include lead guitarist Zach Schneider, bass player Lehmann Smith, and drummer Ashley Bundang. They secured live support spots for groups including Real Estate and Best Coast before their full-length debut, Down Time, arrived on Bedroom Suck in mid-2015. ~ Marcy Donelson
