Wenge Musica was one of the pioneering groups of modern soukous. Formed in the late '80s, the group underwent numerous personnel changes before relocating to Europe. Shortly after their move, the group split into two units -- Wenge Musica BCBG and Wenge Musica Maison Mere, featuring vocalist Marie Paul Kambulu -- in the early '90s. ~ Craig Harris
