Book 9, Guild Hunter
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
One of the most vicious archangels in the world has disappeared. No one knows if Lijuan is dead or has chosen to Sleep the long sleep of an immortal. But with her lands falling into chaos under a rising tide of vampiric bloodlust, a mysterious and ancient order of angels known as the Luminata calls the entire Cadre together to discuss the fate of her territory.
Accompanying her archangel lover Raphael to the Luminata compound, Guild Hunter-turned-angel Elena senses that all is not as it seems. Secrets echo from within the stone walls of the compound, and the deeper Elena goes, the uglier the darkness. But neither Raphael nor Elena is ready for the brutal truths hidden within - truths that will change everything Elena thinks she knows about who she is . . .
Nothing will ever be the same again.
Always enjoy the Archangel twists and turns. Having more family plots to care about is a great spinoff. Legion tatts and all!😉
A stepping stone
There are a few rainbows and unicorns that make me happy in this book, but overall, it's a stepping stone that has so many 'dumb for the book' moments, unanswered questions and skipped scenes that I struggle to believe NS wrote it. Plus, we are really not much further along in the story line and very little has actually changed from page one to the end.
Elena has always been a speshul snowflake, but she pulled it off. Not so much this time. The world is ignorant except for that which her greatness points out to them. The bad guys are just a means to developing a plot with no thought or brains behind the content and the support characters are used and abused to find convenient ways thru the mess to get to the end of the book.
Plus, there are gaping holes, confused intents, missed opportunities, continuity issues, and rubber stamping galore.
Love, love, love this series 😍
