A wonderful country escape

This debut novel by Jenn J McLeod is wonderful. It had me laughing, crying, wondering and imagining. She has created some memorable characters in Sara, Poppy, Amber and Caitlin and certainly characters that people can relate to.

The setting is magical as you are transported to the small town of Calingarry Crossing and to the home of Gypsy - The Dandelion House. The house is a character all on its own and Jenn does a wonderful job of conjuring up visuals for the reader using the senses.

I really enjoyed the format of the book, written in four separate parts for each of the main characters. You really felt like you were connecting with each character on a deeper level as you explored their world, past and present - secrets and all. I particularly liked the other characters that Jenn weaved into the story bringing even more depth to the main characters whilst enjoying the quirky traits of the minor characters.

Congratulations Jenn on a wonderfully written story, you had me interested from start to end and I truly did not want this tale to be over, I feel like those woman are now my friends!
