This digital Geography text book is designed for Year 10 students in the Senior School, with the focus on geographical development and well-being. There is considerable coverage of countries across a range of examples from developing and developed levels, and a focus on indicators used to determine well-being such as HDI and HPI. The book challenges students to look into population profiles and how stages of development of countries determine the well-being of its people. New skills are also introduced such as using population pyramids, scatter graphs, choropleth maps and testing hypotheses. It complies with the requirements of the new National Curriculum, emphasizing the two main strands (Knowledge and Understanding; Inquiry and Skills) whilst addressing the cross curriculum priorities.
The book offers students and teachers a range of interesting geographical topics whilst using 21st Century learning experiences. Activities are designed to promote inquiry learning and encourage team and collaborative investigation. There are also a number of revision questions and an interactive review quiz at the end of the chapter.
