Ringo ‘Ringer’ James has a no-strings-attached policy.
Love them, leave them, and remain the eternal bachelor.
After a summer in which every one of his mates has succumbed to settling down, or so it seemed, Ringer is on the lookout for a quick exit. Having had enough of the stomach-turning love fest witnessed over the past three months, Ringer jumps at the opportunity to help out his mate, Max, by heading to Max’s dad’s property for a working holiday.
It’s just what he’s looking for. A remote, dusty homestead in Ballan, with only hard work, a cold beer and a comfy bed to worry about – no women.
Until Miranda Henry.
The privately educated daughter of his boss has returned home from overseas and things are about to get very complicated, very fast. As summer draws to its end, Ringer is about to learn that sometimes attraction defies all logic, and that there really is such a thing as ‘enemies with benefits’.
Warning: sexual references, and occasional coarse language.

C.J Duggan has done it again. Loved catching up on another one of the boys.
She’s done it again!
I love C.J’s writing. It’s so grounded and readable! Always great story lines and Ringer doesn’t disappoint!
A Cute Read with Hot Boys - What's Not to Love?
I was super excited and honoured to be invited to receive an eARC of Ringer for review - so a big thanks to Duggan and her team! I am a big fan of the Summer Series, in part because it's set in my home country and written by an Aussie author, but mainly because they they are just so good!
Anywho, Ringer is one of my favourite characters in the series, and I was thrilled to be getting the opportunity to get in his head.
I think the only thing that I could nitpick about, is that it wasn't long enough! I realise that being a novella, it can't be too long, and this is also the first novella I have read of Duggan's. I think she may have had some difficulties with the as well. The pace is very fast and a lot happens over such a short period. I think that novella spans maybe a week or just under, and to me that seemed a bit of an unrealistic time for things to develope to the extent that they did (see how skillfully I phrased my opinion on the ending without giving it away? Props for Renae!).
Now that that is out of the way, I tell you what I love about Ringer. As always with Duggan's writing, Ringer is a laugh a minute with all the flirty banter that balances well with the few steamy moments that she throws in. I think that this book is a bit more explicit that the book in the series, which took me a bit for surprise, but by no means takes things too far.
Ringer is a feel-good read that is perfect for those afternoons when you just want to curl up with a cute book and read the night away. As always, Duggan fails to disappoint and her latest installment in her Summer Series is one that I recommend along with the rest of the series.
