Holland, a beautifully flawed and likable protagonist, humorously does her best to manage her growing fondness for Calvin while keeping low expectations for them as a couple. Her interaction with her uncles and brother reveals her fierce affection for them, and her quiet hopes that Calvin will come to love her create sweet romantic tension. In addition to Holland's running stream of consciousness, the natural dialogue brings out the awkwardness and tenderness in the relationships between the characters. The descriptions and imagery, especially of New York City and Calvin's music, are fresh and sensual, and the lyrical language creates atmosphere that sets this novel apart from others of the genre. Cuuuuute. I have a thing for guys with Irish accents and fake dating/fake wedding tropes so this was right on for me haha. This was a cute, lighthearted, easy read that had me tingling in anticipation as I read. The relationship was cute and so was the romance. Just another great read from Christina Lauren that you have come to expect.

Perfect mix of romance and laughter
Christina Lauren are amongst my favourite authors and I really don’t think they are capable of giving us a bad book, Roomies is a sweet romantic read with great lovable characters. How far would you go to help your roommate out ? If you love modern day love stories full of romance and laughter this is the book for you and I’m sure it will be a book you won’t be able to put down. A marriage of convenience has been done many times before but once this writing due puts their stamp on it the whole story jumps to another level, the chemistry is is sizzling and the banter was perfect. Great book that I couldn’t put down.
