The First Third
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
Life is made up of three parts: in The First Third, you're embarrassed by your family; in the second, you make a family of your own; and in the end, you just embarrass the family you've made.
That's how Billy's grandmother explains it, anyway. She's given him her bucket list (cue embarrassment), and now, it's his job to glue their family back together.
No pressure or anything.
Fixing his family's not going to be easy and Billy's not ready for change. But as he soon discovers, the first third has to end some time. And then what?
It's a Greek tragedy waiting to happen.
It's Not Often...
It's not often that you encounter a story that grips your interest in the unique way in which Will Kostakis has. I do not claim to be a literary god, but I do recognise a certain greatness in a story when I read it. If it's simply the way your are introduced to people (yes people! Not characters, they feel like living, breathing humans, whose story has been captured) through a few subtle yet concrete hints or even if its the touching and heart-wrenching love of family that you glimpse then I am glad to have witnessed it. This story is a long overdue real-life scrutiny of an imperfect family whose troubles and heartbreaks form the very foundation of their salvation and the healing. It's a not to be missed story and one that reads itself while you sit and watch all of the personal intrigue and drama unfold in front of you.
Thank you William Kostakis for such an amazing journey.
