The book that began the series that became the legend ...

"The best series for Australian teens of all time." The Age

"Compulsively readable" New York Times

Somewhere out there Ellie and her friends are hiding.

They're shocked, they're frightened, they're alone.

Their world has changed, with the speed of a slamming door.

They've got no weapons - except courage.

They've got no help - except themselves.

They've got nothing - except friendship.

How strong can you be, when the world is full of people trying to kill you?

Fans of Veronica Roth, Suzanne Collins and John Flanagan will love John Marsden.

From Publishers Weekly

04 November 1996 – Australian friends return from a camping trip in the outback to discover that enemy forces have invaded the country and imprisoned everyone in town. A gripping tale, told with Marsden's customary incisiveness. Ages 12-up.

Finally an eBook release of the best series ever!

Read the book, forget the movie

I loved this series at school. Am so happy it is now available on iBooks. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Tomorrow when the war began

Exceptional author, exceptional book and series. When I read this novel I was impressed with it's compelling plot, adventurous characters and realism. Not just a book for teens, absolutely addictive, inspiring characters, who draw you in and have you cheering as their comfortable humdrum world is stolen from them, and they are forced to fight to survive.
