Plot Summary

Novice screenwriter Marty (Farrell) has come down with a bad case of writers block and is struggling to find inspiration for his new script Seven Psychopaths. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration. Billy (Rockwell) is Marty's best friend, an unemployed actor and part-time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. Hans (Walken) is Billy's partner in crime. Charlie (Harrelson) is the psychopathic gangster whose beloved dog Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie is unpredictable, extremely violent and wouldn't think twice about killing anyone and anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

Customer Reviews

Robbed at the Oscars

Outstanding, 5 stars.

This movie should have at least had a couple of nominations at the 2013 Oscars. Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken for a start. Also for best screenplay. This is one of the better movies I've seen, with outstanding performances from all involved. Those who didn't like it, probably didn't get it.

A well written comedy classic 5/5 A+

This is a great film, the acting and comedic script writing make this a fantastic film. Colin Farrell gives a performances that enarly tops that of what we saw of him in "In Bruges". Sam Rockewell gives his best performance and Christopher Walken has never been funnier. Woody Harrellson is also great but doesn't stand out amongst these all star cast members. Abie Cornish is excelent in her small but important role and Tom waits is also awesome and hilarious. One of 2012's best 5/5 A+

Smart, self-aware and brilliant

This is a movie which has the triple threat which so many movies lack these days; acting, writing and directing.

I've noticed a number a negative iTunes reviews but don't let them turn you off. The reason for these I'm assuming is due to how smart and subtle the writing is at times unlike say, Ted, which is a very different kind of comedy.

Go into this with an open, active mind and I highly doubt you will be disappointed.
