Description

If you were alive from 1945 - 1990, the Cold War was an ever-present reality. We grew up being told that the world could end any minute - and you probably wouldn't know it was coming until it hit. On this series we're going DEEP on the Cold War - why it happened, how it happened and where it left us. As with our other hit podcast series, this show contains heavy doses of bad language, irreverent humour and singalongs.

Baby Boomers must listen

Having been born in 1952 I landed right in the start of the Cold War that my father thought he had prevented by fighting in WW2. But America and USSR had different ideas. It's hard not to be sympathetic to Stalin's paranoia about Germany and the motives of the allies in keeping Russia weak. This was the time that USA and USSR became world leaders because everybody else was stuffed and worn out. The podcast is excellent and should be complete in about 2024 when President Trump leaves office. Thanks for filling my head with more and deeper resentment.

They think that history is a
Joke . They made brain wash to people whit left wing ideology.

If you are reading this I'm probably dead

My phone was damaged during the crash. Internet reception comes and goes as our tiny orange raft gets smashed by the waves. The wind and rain are relentless. The three of us are huddled for warmth. Soaking and shivering. There were four of us when we watched the plane sink beneath us. 2 nights ago, Paul must have fallen over. The other two blame me. But they don't complain about one less mouth drinking what's left of our water. What little conversation we had is now complete silence. Only the roaring wind and crashing waves. My phone is frozen on the page for the Cold War on iTunes. Cam and Ray speak to me. Our water won't last. Maybe 2 but definitely not 3. Mike is already so sick, it would be a mercy.
Great podcast. Send help.
