The show that gave rise to Simply Syndicated, Movies You Should See is at the heart of the network. This is no high-brow affair; it's what you get when a group of friends with different tastes in film gather in front of microphones to discuss, debate, dissect and devour movies for your delectation. From the gooey Ghost to the masterful Three Colours Trilogy, the crew leave no stone unturned across the genres and put each other through sometimes tough challenges. Disagreement, salty language and a heavy dose of irreverent humour might belie the passion for film and genuine pathos, but it's all there.

Customer Reviews

This podcast is a lot of fun, it is one of my absolute must hears. Yes, they get some things wrong, yes they wander off the topic but that is the best bit! If you want to hear normal people talking about great films you should listen to this.

Acute, Intelligent and occasionally tangentially random. These guys are great. Very good reviews, mostly of the film being reviewed but also occasionally of anything else that crosses their path. Great enthusiasm for the subject matter.

Why are we listening to this ?

Certainly not for entertainment or education. These film school drop-outs seem to be going through a list of must-see films written by someone else, as they certainly don't seem to appreciate the real importance of anything they are watching. They are unprepared, often looking for background material on the fly, instead of having done some real work before-hand, and spend way too much time enjoying themselves in their non-inclusive banter. It is like being part of a conversation with a group of wanna-bes that you normally wouldn't talk to. If you like to listen to people talk, then you may well enjoy this. If you are a real fan of cinema and are hoping for something with depth and that will make you think or bring something new to your perspective, keep on walking. There is nothing to see here.
