Follow the journey of the ‘Tūmanako Wellness Centre’. Founder Marcelle Lunam is spearheading a new approach to mental health care in New Zealand. Marcelle’s first-hand experience of an under-resourced and over-burdened health system whilst advocating for a close family member, along with the high rates of mental disorders and youth suicide in New Zealand, has prompted her to partner with development company, Ohu, and to assemble a team of experts and advisors. All are working to bring about a holistic, technologically innovative, sustainable and compassionate mental health and wellbeing facility to Christchurch, New Zealand. The Tūmanako model will be one of patient centred care, world renowned research and a holistic approach to complete wellbeing. Subscribe for progress updates, accounts of mental health challenges and hear from the committed individuals bringing their expertise and research to this project throughout the series.
