Essential listening for awkward girls

I really loved this podcast! I've only listened to the Christina Hendricks one so far, but it was honest, funny and very insightful. I'm downloading the next two right away!

Instantly likeable

I have also just started listening and am such a fan already. There is something very comforting about this one, I wish I had something like this when I was growing up. Would have made the teen years a whole lot easier. A great mixture of guest stories and Janet's as well, I think anyone who doesn't enjoy hearing from the host doesn't really get podcasting. And while I love podcasts such as the Nerdist, it's truly nice to hear an all female podcast.

So much love for The J.V Club

My cousin played the Maria Bamford episode for me in the car a month ago and as soon as I was able I downloaded them all! This is an incredible idea, an intelligent and gentle woman interviewing other remarkable ladies about how they became who they are. I find it so comforting, hilarious and insightful each episode. I wish I had access to this podcast in high school I am thrilled to have found it as a 23 year old woman. Thank you Janet Varney. :)
