Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of true stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. Moth storytellers stand alone, under a spotlight, with only a microphone and a roomful of strangers. The storyteller and the audience embark on a high-wire act of shared experience which is both terrifying and exhilarating. Since 2008, The Moth podcast has featured many of our favorite stories told live on Moth stages around the country. For information on all of our programs and live events, visit themoth.org.

A pleasant discovery
I stumbled across this podcast not knowing where it came from, it just appears on my Ipod and I did not know what to expect, but after hearing the first story travelling to work I could not wait to get home to download more. I have now heard several episodes and found myself laughing uncontrollably at times and on the brink of tears at others. The stories are told in a manner that draws you in, making you feel like you are with a friend revealing and old memory to you, sometimes happy sometimes sad, but all with a positive undertone.
The Moth - general
I have downloaded every episode I can of this podcast. The stories are sometimes sad, sometimes hilarious and always give a brief glipse into someone else's world. They are like the best anecdotes that you get at a dinner party - the ones that make everyone go quiet and leave you with a new insight into your companions and/or leave people choking on their wine. Thanks for this project. I love it and only wish that there were more stories to listen to.
Bring The Moth to Oz!
I'd love to have these in Australia, I think a live show would be fantastic... Love your work!
