The Big Thing: Chaos and drama in Turkish soccer
Turkish soccer, which isn't exactly renowned for its serenity, hit headlines this week when Fenerbahce fielded an U19 team in the Turkish Super Cup against fierce rivals Galatasaray... before withdrawing the team from the field entirely.

Champions League review: goals galore! Bayern and City score their way to draws on the road, Barcelona's mature performance, and Atletico take advantage of Dortmund's errors

Sometimes I don’t even skip the ads
I didn’t think I could like a show that calls football soccer as much as I do. In all seriousness though I’ve listened to TSS for about a year now. I started with the men’s World Cup previews & continued for the premier league content but found myself really enjoying listener questions episodes and learning more about the US men’s and women’s national teams. I also really appreciate the level of focus and support placed on the women’s game! Keep up the good work from South Australia!

This is an excellent podcast. The lads really put in the hours to make it as well-researched as humanly possible. I feel their previews are particularly rewarding listening as they give you a pretty thorough understanding of the teams/players you’re about to watch. Their reviews I think occasionally suffer from a bit of confirmation bias. And are often a little too unwilling to be critical of poor teams/players and most importantly refereeing decisions. Still absolutely worth listening to for anyone wanted to get the most out of the World Cup. Keep up the great work fellas.
