Everybody Hates Chris

Chris, a first-time high school student, looks forward to attending a school with some diversity; Rochelle helps Tonya get a job at Vanessa's beauty salon, but the customers don't appreciate Tonya's brutally honest comments.

Chris agrees to help a classmate improve his grades in return for help getting attention from his crush; Rochelle befriends an ex-con who has moved into the neighborhood; Mr. Omar leaves Tonya and Drew in charge of caring for his fish.

Chris is over the moon when a cute girl asks him to the homecoming dance, but he gets nervous when her father asks to meet him.

When Julius and Rochelle decide to raise Mr. Omar's rent, Mr. Omar demands they bring the apartment up to code; Chris has to do a book report and decides to watch the movie version of the book rather than read it.

Chris helps the football team with homework so he will be allowed to hang out with the cool kids; Julius starts a side job picking up bodies for Mr. Omar's funeral home.

Chris tries to break up Doc and his new obnoxious girlfriend; Tonya starts wearing a bra to school to get attention from the boys.
