Maeve O’Meara journeys into the most diverse mix of cuisines from around the world in this new series, full of the most delicious dishes and the warm welcoming people who share the recipes they cherish. Explore the exotic worlds of Peruvian cuisine from the coastline to the Andes; the rustic simplicity of Cypriot food; the many colours and textures of Filipino cuisine, the delicious diversity of South African food; the fresh exuberance of Lao food, the hearty richness of Polish cuisine; the intricate spicing of Afghan cuisine and the seasonal celebration of Danish cuisine. Two of Australia’s own creole cuisines feature in this series, both from Australia’s north – the surprising delights of the unique food of Broome and Darwin. Each episode showcases the basic ingredients, cooking equipment and techniques and then features some of the key recipes shared by chefs and home-cooks, most able to reproduced at home for your own feast!
