The new station manager, Kate Costas, orders Frasier to make major changes in his show.

Their decision to work together makes Martin think Frasier and Niles both need therapy.

The passing of their least-favourite aunt sees Frasier and Niles inspired to help Martin make his dream come true: finishing writing a song for Frank Sinatra.

Kate decides that Bulldog is just fine with all the pranks he's playing on Frasier, despite Dr Crane's obvious discomfort. In fact she encourages Frasier to retaliate, and that's when he gets the idea to use a lizard in a prize draw.

Frasier enlists the services of a contractor to remove a scratch from his floor on the day he is to host a wine tasting party. The minor buffing job becomes a major catastrophe when the contractor takes the entire apartment apart.

Roz informs Frasier that the new station manager Kate is not going to give the employees a raise, and starts a labour strike. However, during the negotiations, he finds himself attracted to the station manager.
