With his 21st birthday just around the corner, life finally seems to be coming together for Josh (Josh Thomas). He’s sharing a house with his best (and only) friend, Tom (Tom Ward), his dog, John, and Tom’s rabbit, $haniqua, and he’s doing adult things like cooking roast chickens and eating asparagus. But the events of one day throw his world into chaos. He’s dumped by his girlfriend, Claire (Caitlin Stasey), and introduced to a decidedly odd but very attractive man, Geoffrey (Wade Briggs). And when his divorced mum, Rose (Debra Lawrance), overdoses on pain killers, Josh is forced to move back into the family home to keep an eye on her. If that’s not enough, he has to deal with his dad Alan’s (David Roberts) guilt over his ex-wife and clumsy attempts to hide his new, younger girlfriend, Mae (Renee Lim). It’s all a bit more than Josh had planned for - which was just to plate up a tasty dinner.
|1||VideoRhubarb and Custard||When Josh’s girlfriend, Claire, dumps him and tells him she’s pretty sure he’s gay, he’s mostly worried that the sundae for two that’s just arrived at their table is suddenly pretty humiliating. Josh seeks out his best mate Tom, who is busy at work googling giraffes and planning to dump his own overbearing girlfriend - and Josh’s nemesis - Niamh.||27:56||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|2||VideoFrench Toast||Josh’s dad, Alan, is so convinced that he’s responsible for his ex-wife’s predicament that he insists on dropping his younger girlfriend Mae at the corner store before visiting Josh at the family home, in case he upsets Rose. Josh seems to be taking a different approach to his mum’s recovery, and after throwing things at her to get her out of bed, he leaves her at her psychiatrist’s appointment and heads off to visit Tom at his office. He runs into Geoffrey, who is keen to pick up where they left off and invites Josh out on a date.||27:42||$2.99||View in iTunes|

Josh receives a drunken phone call from his dad, desperate for Josh to rescue him and his new sports car. Alan gets to meet Geoffrey, who has no qualms telling Alan the truth about his relationship with Josh.||27:28||$2.99||View in iTunes|

With some tips from Josh, it doesn’t take her long to land a date. She meets Rod (Andrew S. Gilbert), an affable but not-very-interesting Rotarian with very few redeeming features, who takes her to an all-youcan-eat buffet restaurant for their first date.||27:34||$2.99||View in iTunes|
