Sherlock returns with three brand-new feature length episodes, promising laughter, tears, shocks, surprises and extraordinary cases. The eagerly anticipated fourth series, produced by Hartswood Films, begins with the nation’s favourite detective, the mercurial Sherlock Holmes, back once more on British soil, as Doctor Watson and his wife, Mary, prepare for their biggest ever challenge - becoming parents for the first time. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reprise their iconic roles as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in the hit drama written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Customer Reviews

Huge disapointment

Sherlock series 1, 2, and 3 were all amazing, unfortunatly series 4 is a poorly written mess. While episode 3 is worth watching the rest of the season is just awful.

Sherlock season 4 review

In my opinion this was a very good season hampered only by an 'alright' first episode

This is where Sherlock jumps the shark. Huge leaps of faith for a largely unbelievable plot and drawn out tortures that are themselves torturous to watch. The character of Mary as both the girl with the dragon tattoo and an ever-forgiving mother to Watson and Sherlock is seriously irritating. The best thing about this series is Moriaty makes an appearance in his self-deluded, sexy rock star way.
