She has turned back time and resurrected her murdered partners, Danny Woo (series star Will Yun Lee) and rookie Jake McCartey (series star David Chokahi). But her nemesis, Ian Nottingham (series star Eric Etebari), continues to pursue the source of Sara's strength. Sara relies on young historian Gabriel Bowman (series star John Hensley) for help in understanding the Witchblade. Sara and Danny Woo are once again in pursuit of the elusive mobster Tommy Gallo (recurring guest star Conrad Dunn). As before, Gallo's henchman lures Sara into the museum where she first encounters the Witchblade, and it claims her as its chosen wielder. This time, however, things are different.

Sara, Danny and rookie Jake investigate a bizarre homicide case involving a customs agent who was impaled by a strange, ancient weapon. Stalked by Irons' henchman, Nottingham, Sara suspects that Irons is responsible for the murder and confronts him. Later, Irons uses the weapon--known as the Longinus Lance--to cruelly murder associates he believes have double-crossed him. Meanwhile, Sara visits Gabriel, who deals in exotic artifacts and objects of power and operates a Web site called Talismaniac.com, in order to research the strange murder weapon. He agrees to help her find a buyer, but a mysterious figure contacts Gabriel and informs him that the Witchblade cannot be obtained with money. Meanwhile, Sara and Jake investigate the murder of a promising rock star, which is followed by the suspicious death of the musician's girlfriend. Failing to make progress, Jake explores cases of suicide in the area and discovers that three women in addition to the girlfriend were patients of the same psychiatrist and killed themselves within a three-day period. Sara and Jake eventually learn that the doctor has a split personality and has been influencing her patients. After defeating the psychiatrist, who tries to chop off Sara's arm in order to possess the Witchblade herself, Sara finds peace with the symbiotic weapon.
